How the test works
We do not publish quoted payout windows. Every number on this page comes from a cash-out that one of our desk editors personally requested this issue. The clock starts the second the withdrawal request is submitted, and stops when the money clears in the editor's bank account or e-wallet.
For fairness, all tests used the same profile type: a fully verified UK resident, depositing £50, playing through a modest turnover, and withdrawing to either Visa debit or PayPal where supported.

Payment methods matter more than the casino
In our testing, the single biggest influence on payout speed is not the casino — it is the payment method you use to cash out. E-wallets clear fastest, debit cards are typically next, and bank transfers trail. Here is what we found across this issue's test set.
- PayPal and Apple Pay: most UK operators clear these within two to twelve hours once the pending window closes.
- Visa / Mastercard debit: typically 24–48 hours. Some challenger-bank cards (Monzo, Starling) arrived sooner in our tests.
- Open banking / instant bank transfer: increasingly offered by UK casinos and often the fastest method when the operator supports it.
- Bank transfer (BACS): slowest, sometimes three working days even when the casino has already released the funds.

Verification & KYC tips
UK-licensed operators must verify identity under the Gambling Commission's Know Your Customer rules. Most first-time delays happen here, not at the cashier. You can shave a day or more off your first withdrawal by:
- Completing verification immediately after registration — ideally before your first deposit.
- Uploading high-resolution images of a valid UK passport or driving licence, and a recent utility bill or bank statement.
- Using the same payment method to withdraw that you used to deposit. UK rules require it anyway.
- Avoiding name mismatches between your casino account and your bank account. This is the single most common reason a first withdrawal gets flagged.
A reminder. Fast payouts are convenient, not a prompt to play more. Use deposit limits, use reality checks, and if gambling stops feeling like entertainment, GAMSTOP lets you self-exclude from every UK-licensed online operator at once.
